Thomas Ramos' Last-Second Penalty Gives France Dramatic Victory

France emerge victorious in a thrilling encounter against England

Ramos' stunning goal from halfway line secures triumph

France snatched a dramatic victory against England in the final match of the 2024 Guinness Six Nations, thanks to a last-minute penalty from Thomas Ramos. The win secured France's fifth consecutive Grand Slam and their biggest-ever Test victory against England.

The match was a hard-fought battle, with both teams trading blows throughout the 80 minutes. France took the early lead through a try from Antoine Dupont, but England responded with a penalty from Owen Farrell. France extended their lead to 17-3 at the break thanks to a penalty from Ramos and a drop goal from Matthieu Jalibert.

England fought back in the second half, with tries from Marcus Smith and Freddie Steward bringing them within striking distance. However, Ramos' late penalty from near halfway sealed the victory for France and ensured they finished the tournament with a perfect record.
